General Procedure

Step 1: Choose a university that offers your study direction (List of all participating universities: https://www.cscscholarship.org/subject-wise-university-list…

Step 2: Contact with a Professor of the university and request to be accepted as a student (optional).

Having an acceptance from the professor will increase your chances to receive the scholarship. Don’t worry it is easy to get – See an example here https://www.cscscholarship.org/samples-of-email-to-professo…

When he agrees to accept you then you can send him the Supervisor Request Letter (https://www.cscscholarship.org/acceptance-letter-sample.html)

Step 3: Fill out the CSC Online Application Form through the Chinese Government Scholarship login. Apply here: http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/

Step 4: Complete “Physical Examination Record for Foreigner” form and attach the required reports called “Foreigner Physical Examination Form”. Find the form here: https://www.cscscholarship.org/foreigner-physical-examinati…

Step 5: Print everything and complete the list of necessary documents.

After filling and printing out the online form you need to send all documents to the scholarship department (or international office) of your targeted university.

Document list

- Notary Attested Copy of your highest degree.

- Notary Attested Transcript of final Degree.

- Two Letters of Recommendation from your last university professors;

- Physical Examination form for the Chinese Government Scholarship

- Your China study plan

- English proficiency certificate

- Passport Copy

- Acceptance Letter issued by a professor of the Chinese University of your choice (optional).
